🧬 Project Description:

This project focuses on leveraging genome-wide CRISPR screens to uncover vulnerabilities in T-ALL cell lines under chemotherapy stress. So far, such screening under these conditions remains unexplored, particularly due to the challenge of maintaining Cas9 expression in T-ALL cells.

The research aims to:

  • Validate screen hits in T-ALL lines treated with chemotherapy.
  • Use targeted drugs against CRISPR-identified genes.
  • Explore mechanisms of resistance.
  • Develop novel combinatorial treatment strategies.

🧫 About the Lab:

The Rashkovan Lab, launched in January 2023, is based at the Azrieli Research Centre at CHU Sainte-Justine, affiliated with the Université de Montréal.

Their research focuses on:
  1. Metabolism in T-cell leukemias.
  2. The interaction between metabolic pathways and gene regulation.
Use of cutting-edge tools such as:.
  1. Flow cytometry.
